Latin beats and rhythm guitars that were prominent in Animals blend with stand up bass lines that are the life-blood of Our Day in the Sun. I found a trombone band...yes, a trombone band... a band filled with people who only played trombones...they're pretty common out here in Altamont. I took them deep into a crevasse (my favorite crevasse) located in a secret location near some waterfalls that run through our backyard. I sang them a lick and they recorded it in one take (they were professionals). Some people think this song is about a story that's been going around... that once upon a time I actually caught a bolt of lightening in a jar. But that's just not true. That's preposterous.
